Move [day 3]
[God Can Move In Any Way]
You can move any mountain You can calm every storm You can change any heart You can mend what is torn You bring life to what is dead You hold all things in your hands May your will be done right here On Earth as in Heaven
As we read in Day 1, God can move in many ways. There is nothing that He cannot do. The bridge of this song highlights, line by line, that God is not bound in any way. Whether it’s an act that defies nature and science or the complete change and transformation of a person’s life, God can do it. No matter how impossible it seems to us, it is possible for our God.
We serve a God who is capable of anything! He is the ruler of the universe. He sustains all life. He has power over all things. He performs miracles of transformation and healing. He is holding all things together. The God we serve has authority over everything.
Our human minds often have a hard time comprehending this reality. Take a moment to sit and meditate on this.
When we understand God and His true nature, it should change how we respond to Him. We should live in a constant state of awe and worship of Him. He is so amazing! Take time today to write down the things that God has accomplished in your life. Write down the characteristics of God that you admire or the ways He has moved that you can’t quite wrap your mind around. Spend time thanking Him for these things and ask Him to continue to work miracles in your life. We should not be surprised when God does the impossible. Let's live with great faith and expectation of God's moving in incomprehensible ways!
Scripture Reading:
Psalm 77:14 You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.
Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too hard for me?
Hebrews 12:28-29 28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thuslet us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.
Revelation 4:11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”
Prayer:
God, thank you for moving in ways that make me in awe of you.Thank you for who you are. You are a God of the impossible, who is over all things. Thank you for the ways you have moved in my life. Help me to continually see how you are moving now. I trust you and I believe that you can do what seems impossible to me. Forgive me for having little faith when I don’t or haven’t believed that you can do it. I know that you are fully in control. I ask that you work miracles in my life! You are great and mighty. I will worship you and you alone. I praise you and give you all the glory. Amen.
